Enrollment Process

McLain Community High School Choice Enrollment Process

All students who are interested in attending McLain Community High School during the 2019-20 school year are required to attend one of three Information Nights:

  • Wednesday, January 23 at 6:00 p.m.
  • Wednesday, February 13 at 6:00 p.m.
  • Wednesday, February 27 at 6:00 p.m.


ACE, Achieve and LIVE Learning Communities

After attending one of the three information nights, students will be placed in a lottery for the ACE, Achieve or LIVE academic learning communities (our Youth Programs). A lottery will determine a student’s final eligibility for enrollment for the 2019-20 school year. Parents are encouraged to fill out the online application prior to the Information Night Program.  Parents have the option of completing the online application at the Information Night Programs.


CB Learning Community

Any adult student interested in our CB day and evening programs will not be required to enroll for the lottery. Students interested in the CB Learning Community will need to apply online and attend our Learning Community Student Orientations in May or August.


Learning Community Student Orientations

If students are selected for enrollment for the 2019-20 school year, they will be required to attend a Learning Community Student Orientation Program in May (ACE, Achieve and LIVE).  If enrollment slots become available later in the spring, students will be accepted for enrollment and then invited to Learning Community Student Orientation Programs in June or August 2019, prior to the start of school.
